The Gossip

• Check out the Snatchel Project which involves making some lady parts to send to male congressman.  I will be making a womb to send! For great information on the project and interviews with the organizers, listen to Brenda Dayne’s Cast On Episode 114 .
• Work – Continues. Boyfriend came up to visit and got sick!
• TV – Cutting back on shows due to lack of time but have added Lost Girl.
• Had a pair of socks bite the dust after 5.5 years.  Europe Socks.
• Recommitting to fitness. Signed up Hollywood 5K for next week and a 10k in a few months.  Also starting Jillian Michaels Body Revolution on April 1st.
• Camp KIP is in three weeks!!  So excited!!
• Coachella is in three weeks too. Getting all the gear ready to spend three days camping.

Behind the Scenes

• For March & April my focus will be on Adding More Creativity to my Life.
• Ukulele learning is progressing.  I have been practicing 3x week. Still suck bad but having fun.
• No progress on quilting front but hopefully next week.

• Work – In Week 16 of 50 for out of town work.
• Random thoughts on trip to Japan.  Visited Tokyu Hands and Okadaya Included a few picture but you can see more here.
• On Shopping Kick – Picked up Principles of Knitting from Amazone, Merrell Shoes from Zappos anda new suitcase from EBags.com which has EXCELLENT customer service.
• Mailed my Mother Bears!!!

• Increase Travel in 2012…is a success!! Have 11 upcoming trips planned.
• Thanks to Shae (xshae on Ravelry) for pointing me to Blurb.com as a place to create your own books! I plan on doing a travel book!
• For March & April my focus wull be on Adding More Creativity to my Life. I have plans to learn the ukelele (help getting started from KnittyBlog here) and to quilt. Keep you updated!

• Watermelon Socks (aka Honey Badger Socks) in Mystery Wool
• Mother Bear #4 for Mother Bear Project knit with worsted scraps. Also finished the faces for theMother Bears I finished in October.
• Repaired my Beaded Black Betty. Not really an FO but it sat so long in the mend pile…i’m counting it.

• Mother Bear #5 – Crochet gauge was too loose and my idea to felt failed. So my sad bear was adopted by my boyfriend.

• Work – In Week 12 of 50 for out of town work.  Tired of it.
• No Stitches West or Madrona for me this year…instead I am heading to JAPAN!!! Will be going to Tokyo, Hakone region and Kyoto!
• But I am planning on going to Rhinebeck!
• Found a home for an unloved project – a cheap crappy fuzzy acrylic made worse by doing it in a lace pattern – but now my Branching Out lives happily with a two-year old!

• New Travel Philosophy – Embrace being a tourist and say YES to adventures!! No Embarrassment!
• Travel Log Ideas? I am trying to figure out how to best capture my adventures. Diary? Blog? Video? I’d love to hear your ideas!

• Headed to Vogue Knitting – LA . Listened to a lecture from Shannon Oakey. Bought yarn. Took a photography class with Amy Swenson .
• Went to CogKnitive Fiber Retreat and meet the fabulous Dr. Gemma.  Bought more yarn and met cool people.
• I got into the Super Summer Knitaway in Nashville, TN being put on by the amazing KnitGillls and Carin from Round the Twist.

• Had a major rip session including the my Turbulence sweater so I can reuse the yarn.  Also ripped the Quincy hat which I will reknitting using Malabrigo held double.
• Time to pick my oldest UFO up again since its been 10 months - Corrie Fair Isle Vest.
• Plan to do a Halloween/B-Day project (my day of birth is October 31st). This year socks to be started on October 1st.

• I’m going to Vogue Knitting – LA this weekend where I will taking a class with Amy Swenson where I am going to learn mad photography skills.  Then I get to go to Cogknitive Fiber Retreat and meet the fabulous Dr. Gemma.
